About Me
I studied art, especially drawing and painting, at Elmhurst College. Soon after graduating, I enrolled in a two-year graphic design program at College of DuPage.
On a daily basis, I take on illustrative logo design projects as a subcontractor. I brainstorm ideas for a logo, create concepts, and send them to another designer for feedback. Once I’ve chosen around 3-4 different design options, I present them to my clients until we reach a compromise and chose the best possible design solution.
My creative process involves firsthand exploration of the subject. From this point, I start generating multiple design ideas and sketching them out on paper. Then, I start rendering those designs directly on Illustrator using shapes and the pen and pathfinder tools.
Design and illustration effectively capture the audience’s attention and keeps them invested in the brand’s message and core values. It allows them to learn more about the story behind the concept. In the end, it’s not only about creating memorable symbols and imagery, but also about maintaining consistency and the good, honest fruits of labor.
